Singh’s voice in particular was on gorgeous form, her high end range piercing through and turning heads. Consummate professional entertainers, they mixed equal amounts of exaggerated comedy in with their technically on point musical output. When it came to the headliners, The Bombay Royale spun out a masterclass of bringing an internationally renowned show through to a smaller venue, to a crowd full of faces who may have been seeing them for the first time. Watching the performers having so much fun performing the material that’s brought joy to so many. The dynamic the band exerts, from the rhythm to the horn section, not to mention the duo vocal of Parvyn Singh and Shourov Bhattacharya, is also well honed and great to watch as a music fan, this is part of the thrill of a great live show. Their positivity that drives each and every song they perform permeates through the crowd effortlessly – you want to dance if you’re not a dancer, you want to sing, even if you cannot understand the language. The Bombay Royale are one of those bands who are impossible not to feel affected by.
